Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Lower Legs.
For effective waxing, hair should be about 1/4 inch long (roughly two weeks of growth). If hair is too short, wax won’t grip; if too long, we may trim slightly for comfort and best results.
No — waxing removes hair from the root and does not change follicle structure. Over time, repeated waxing often produces finer, sparser regrowth rather than coarser hair. Individual results vary based on hormones and genetics.
Typically every four to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. New clients may come slightly sooner; once regular waxing establishes the cycle, appointments space out. We'll recommend a personalized schedule during your visit.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments, but our estheticians use techniques and soothing products to reduce pain. Breathing, skin support, and post-wax care help. Numbing creams can be used upon request for especially sensitive clients.
Exfoliate gently 48 hours before, avoid heavy lotions or sun exposure the day of, and ensure hair is the recommended length. If you’re using medications that sensitize skin, inform your esthetician to adjust the treatment.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, vigorous exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers and non-comedogenic moisturizers; avoid exfoliation for 48 hours. If irritation occurs, apply cool compresses and our calming aloe or tea-tree products as directed.
