Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Upper Legs.

Come with at least 1/4 inch of hair growth; avoid heavy exfoliation the day before, skip moisturizers and tanning, and wear loose clothing. We’ll cleanse and prep skin, making the process quick, comfortable, and hygienic.

Some discomfort is normal, feeling like quick tugs. Most clients find it tolerable; experienced estheticians use techniques to minimize pain. Numbing creams can be applied on request, and regular waxing usually becomes less uncomfortable over time.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth. With regular appointments, regrowth becomes finer and sparser. We recommend scheduling maintenance every four to six weeks to keep upper legs smooth and hair-free consistently.

Topical retinoids and acne medications can increase skin sensitivity; avoid waxing while using strong actives like tretinoin or Accutane without medical clearance. Tell your esthetician about medications so we can advise safe timing or alternatives for hair removal.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, tanning, and heavy exercise for 24-48 hours. Apply a calming gel or aloe, wear breathable, loose clothing, and begin gentle exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrowns. Follow our specific aftercare instructions for best results.

Contraindications include sunburn, open wounds, active skin infections, recent chemical peels, or oral/ topical isotretinoin use. Blood-thinning medications and certain medical conditions may require clearance. Always disclose health history so we can determine if waxing is safe for you.
